Jury Statements

Series Jury | Statement Best Series

This series fully embodies the spirit of web series and is an incredible representative of this art form. We were amazed how it managed to build something so powerful so efficiently. It has everything: Amazing cinematography, great music, excellent editing, moving acting, and a strong concept. It fully developed the story it wanted to tell in an extremely entertaining way. It’s one of the most complete web series of the festival and a worthy recipient of best series.

Pilots Jury | Statement

We, as a jury, were looking for pilots that had a strong story, sense of identity and leaves us wanting more. We feel like this pilot had a lot of positive energy and explores a topic we haven’t seen before. After watching we really wanted to see how the story continues and get to know the characters better.

Documentary Jury | Statement

This series deeply moved us through its immense social relevance and pure humanity, shattering stereotypes by shedding light on those who provide food, clothing, and shelter to people in need. It stands out because of its sensitive storytelling, giving a powerful platform to the protagonists' struggles, hopes, and humanistic visions. Ultimately, it is a poetic and deeply empathetic portrait of community work and the profound power of helping one another.

Animation Jury | Statement

There are series that make us laugh. There are series that hold up a mirror to society. And then there are those rare works that manage to do both at the same time. This series stands among the very best of them. With wit, warmth, and remarkable confidence, the series pushes the absurdities of bureaucracy to hilarious extremes while offering sharp yet affectionate social commentary. Its cast of distinctive, wonderfully quirky characters, combined with outstanding world building, creates a world that is both absurd and instantly recognizable. The animation is exceptional, using visual storytelling and visual humor to deliver comedy that is clever, quirky, and uniquely suited to the medium. This series is a shining example of how bold, entertaining, and distinctive adult animation can be. Congratulations to the entire team!

Long Form Jury | Statement

In a world where we feel like we are going backwards, in a time where conflict is overtaking our decisions, this story reminds us that empathy can exist even between two complete strangers, and so, there is hope for humanity after all.

Series Jury | Statement for Best Directing

One of the most original and personality-driven series of the festival, this show feels completely different because of the concept, the universe, and the tone, characters, and art direction.

Series Jury | Statement for Best Screenplay

Web series are created by amazing people that do amazing things. And amazing things can be anything from car chases, exploding helicopters, or just about people talking about simple, ordinary things. But what can make ordinary things truly amazing? Good writing. The winner for Best Screenplay achieved exactly that: Making simple things look amazing.

Series Jury | Statement for Best Idea

This series stood out as a show with a quirky, unique story and style that catches your attention immediately and sends you spiraling into an unfamiliar world with no hesitation.

Series Jury | Statement for Best Leading Performance

Actors are the heart and the face of the stories that web series create. The main character is a key component of the success of a show. One line and one look can make or break a show, and this winner’s performance comes through beautifully.

Pitch Contest Jury | Statement

A story with potential touching on a moral dilemma, with a pitch capable of transmitting the story & emotions. The winner is also getting a place to present their project at Seriesland 2026, with accommodation.

Vertical Series Jury | Statement

The filmmakers of the winning series made every jury member binge-watch the whole series! The cliffhangers are well placed, the story is original, the look is authentic, the vertical format is really used for visual storytelling and the series makes good use of its low budget. We just have one question: Will there be a second season?

Series Jury | Statement for Best Cinematography

Many factors go into a great web series, from a good story, directing, editing, and acting. They say looks aren’t everything, but a bad image on screen can mar an otherwise amazing series. This series knows how to use the camera to make reality dance in front of our eyes and invites us into this world.
