Juliana Ascúa is a Screenwriter, Director, Actress, and Audiovisual Producer based in Buenos Aires. Her work explores social humor, gender perspectives, and new forms of audiovisual representation, combining an auteur’s vision imbued with absurdity, emotional tension, and a meticulous visual aesthetic. She develops fiction and documentary projects with a strong independent and self-managed approach. She is the Creator, Screenwriter, Director, and Producer of “LARA”, a series distributed by Amazon Prime Video in the United States, currently in development for its third season. She also directs “Tragedia,” a documentary soon to premiere on Flow. She is currently developing a feature film in the casting stage, the biographical documentary “IRA,” and an eight-episode, 30-minute long-form series.
