Stefan Pohl is a Graduate Designer and Filmmaker based in Darmstadt, Southern Hesse. Since 2010, he has worked primarily as a freelance Cinematographer and Editor in the fields of TV, documentary and corporate film. Furthermore, he is a member of the Frankfurt-based media cooperative United Creative Studio, which co-develops and produces various series and film projects. With his documentary “Hello my name is - German Graffiti”, he toured German cinemas in 2015 with over 120 screenings and it is also available as VoD in 81 countries and five languages. Another recent highlight was his work as Cinematographer and Editor for the Arte documentary celebrating the 100th anniversary of the silent film classic Nosferatu. The documentary format has a special meaning for him. Ideally, a good documentary gives the audience the feeling of having come as close to the protagonists as if they had met them in person, while transforming our perspective on social structures and our environment.
